Born in 1963 in Gdańsk, resident of Sopot since childhood. Doctor of Economics at the University of Gdańsk. A graduate of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Gdańsk University of Technology. A graduate of the Postgraduate Studies in Local Government Law at the University of Gdańsk and the Management Studies of the University of Gdańsk and Central Connecticut State University.
From 1990 a councillor and vice-president of Sopot, and from 1998 the president of Sopot. In the years 1990-98, he was a councillor of the Seymik of the Gdańsk Province. From 2007 to 2001, Vice President of the Association of Polish Cities and Delegate to the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities at the Council of Europe, currently a member of the board of the Association of Polish Cities and Co-chairman of the Team for Systemic Affairs of the Joint Government and Local Government Commission. Laureate of, among others Awards Grzegorz Palka, called the local government “Oscar” and a three-time leader of the N15 ranking of city presidents of the Newsweek weekly.
An extraordinary member of the World Association of Home Army Soldiers, Kashubian-Pomeranian Association, rescuer and founder of the Sopot WOPR, yacht and motorboat helmsman, ski instructor.
