Kevin Kane is the acknowledged face and voice of the Memphis hospitality industry. He is president and CEO of Memphis Tourism and president of its subsidiary MMG, which manages the Memphis Convention Center and the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts. Tourism is a $3.5 billion-dollar industry in Shelby County that supports over 50,000 jobs.
He serves on the board of U.S. Travel Association in Washington D.C., is past Chairman of Destinations International, the central organization for tourism organizations around the world, and is immediate past Executive Committee member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island. Locally, Kevin serves on numerous boards including the Advisory Council for the University of Tennessee College of Health and Science, the Memphis Hotel Lodging Association, Smithsonian Rock n’ Soul Museum and is current Chairman of the Memphis Transportation Commission and Memphis Sports Council.
Mr. Kane is a native Memphian and a graduate of Christian Brothers High School and the University of Memphis.
